D&D Group has reached an exciting milestone as the company celebrates 20 years of delivering service with integrity to its clients. From the company’s inception two decades ago, D&D Group has maintained a constant focus of delivering value to clients and seeking out new innovations to improve safety and efficiency. These factors have secured D&D Group’s position as one of leaders in traffic management in New South Wales.
D&D
Group began its operations in 1998 when Diego Diaz, the company’s
founder and Director, began a crane hire enterprise servicing local
construction companies in the Illawarra region. In a few short years,
the business grew rapidly and two additional Directors, Robert Cazzolli
(Managing Director) and Fabian Diaz (Director) joined the business. By
2001, the business moved to larger premises and in 2003, along with the
expansion into traffic management services, the first major restructure
of the business took place. In 2007 D&D Group sold the crane hire
business to focus on the high potential traffic management business.
D&D
Group’s success can be closely traced to the fundamental foundations of
the business that have remained constant from the outset. These
foundations include;
• An unwavering commitment to deliver exceptional service to clients;
• Proactively evolving systems and seeking better solutions to increase efficiency;
• Embrace innovation and push the boundaries of new technologies;
• Fostering a culture of respect and integrity;
• And an uncompromised commitment to health and safety.
In
2017, D&D Group was crowned the winner of the prestigious SafeWork
NSW Award in the category of best solution of an identified workplace
health and safety issue. In addition, D&D Group was recognised as a
highly commended finalist of the inaugural Traffic Management
Association of Australia, Industry Innovation Award.
Today, D&D Group remains proudly Australian owned and operated. The business employs over 250 people within the Group. It’s diverse client base includes some of the country’s largest and most respected organisations inclusive of John Holland, Ventia, CPB, Boral, Laing O’Rourke, Sydney Trains and projects such as WestConnex and Sydney Metro.
Reflecting on this achievement, Robert Cazzolli, Managing Director said “It’s been a rewarding journey to build this vibrant business and see it flourish. We have an unwavering passion to continuously drive the business forward, seek out new opportunities and innovations, to stay ahead of the game. As Directors, we feel a strong obligation to ensure the safety of our staff, our D&D Group family. We are constantly searching for ways to enhance safety and wellbeing of our staff, after all, it’s our staff that deliver exceptional service to our clients and without that, we wouldn’t have a business.”
“While we are proud to reach this 20 year milestone, we continue to heavily focus on future opportunities and strive to evolve the business to its optimal level.” He added.
To celebrate the 20 year anniversary, D&D Group, held a dinner function. Staff were treated with a commemorative gift to honour this achievement and to thank them for their service and commitment to the business. Certificates of appreciation were also awarded in recognition of dedicated and hardworking individuals.
