As part of the diversity employment program, D&D Traffic Management is proudly working in partnership with Aboriginal Employment Strategy Ltd (AES), a not-for-profit recruitment company to create employment and career opportunities for Indigenous Australians.
On Monday 7th May, D&D Traffic Management welcomes fifteen (15) AES members to its Traffic Management team. Following a week of intense training and induction, the new employees will start their careers as Traffic Controllers.
Robert Cazzolli, Managing Director – D&D Group said “Last Thursday night, Geoff Hogbin (D&D Industrial Relations Manager) and I were invited to meet with the AES and our new employees to welcome them to D&D. We participated in a ‘yarning circle’ where our stories were shared. The enthusiasm and excitement that our new recruits showed for their new career opportunity was outstanding.”
“Our company culture supports diversity and inclusion. We welcome the new recruits to the D&D Traffic Management family and look forward to supporting them to ensure they have valuable career opportunities. I extend my gratitude to Rob Dickerson (AES), James Bourne (AES) and Rohan Tobler (AES) and Geoff Hogbin (D&D) for coordinating and managing this entire process.” he added.
The new employees will be allocated to work amongst different crews to gain experience and knowledge. As with all D&D Traffic Management employees, career progression opportunities are available to those who wish to pursue it.
