Strengthening our relationship with Aboriginal Employment Strategy

D&D GroupNews

D&D Traffic Management continues to strengthen it’s partner with Aboriginal Employment Strategy and Aboriginal Pathways iTraffic Pre-Employment Program by welcoming a further 17 indigenous recruits who have recently graduated from the program.

Over the next few weeks, the new recruits will receive induction training provided by D&D Traffic Management before being integrated with experienced crews who will provide onsite training.

Robert Cazzolli, Managing Director of D&D Group said “since forming a partnership with Aboriginal Employment Strategy and Aboriginal Pathways iTraffic Pre-employment program in May 2018, we have welcome around 70 indigenous people to our organisation who have started their careers as Traffic Controllers. Their contribution to our organisation has been immense.”

Michelle Manning an indigenous Team Leader at D&D Traffic Management recently asked her friend, aboriginal artist Kelly Ohlsen, to create an artwork to represent a connection to indigenous culture and D&D Traffic Management. The artwork symbolises meeting and travelling together. The artwork is proudly on display at the D&D Sydney Depot and will provide our new recruits with a sense of belonging and inclusion as they join the D&D team.

We thank Michelle Manning for taking the initiative to commission this artwork and we extend our utmost gratitude to the artist Kelly Ohlsen for creating this treasured painting.

D&D Traffic Management supports a culture of diversity and inclusion. The organisation is committed to employing Indigenous Australian’s as part of its diverse employment strategy.
